Kindy Visit

It was great to have the kindy visit us on Tuesday even though it was raining. Mrs Lindley read the big book called 'The Hole in the King's Sock'. Children had to design a pattern for their sock with both socks matching.

Reading at home

By now you will have noticed that reading books are coming home in your child's reading folder.
**Please remember no reading folder = no book**
Your child will have read this in class, with the teacher, and will have memorised the text. We appreciate your support in sitting down and listening to your child read 1 or more of their books to you each night.

We encourage you to remind them to:
- Point to each word as they read
- Use the pictures for clues to work out the unknown word/s
- Get their mouth ready to say the initial letter sound of unknown words.

Allow time for your child to talk through the story and pictures and relate their own experiences to the text, this will also help them with their oral language.

Kind regards,
Nicola and Victoria
