Maths - Groupings within 5

There are lots of different ways we are learning to recall basic facts in Room 6. Today we drew and wrote number stories that equal 5. Every day we get better and faster at recalling these groupings.

Maths in Room 6

Children in Room 6 are learning basic facts to 10. Knowing the 2 numbers that go together makes it easier to recall groupings. Some children have committed them to memory and new members to our group like Finn use a strategy to help them.

Firefighters come to visit

We loved having 3 firemen come to our school and talk to us about "Get down, Get Low and Get Out". They also asked us where our safe meeting place is. Some children were excited because they had talked about this at home.
