Kiwiana
Kiwiana is our theme for the first two weeks of this term. Such a great topic finding out about what quirky objects define us as New Zealanders. We gave making a pavlova a go and it actually turned out and was delicious, so the children said. Of course the best part of any baking is tasting the mixture much to the delight of Jackson and Keira. We thought the mixture looked like shaving cream but it didn't taste like that!! No pavlova is complete without good old kiwifruit.
Mrs Clarke took some photos of her sheep and we got to touch their wool. We thought the sheep looked funny as their wool falls off so they don't need to be shorn.
