Term 2 - Week 1

Back to another busy school term. Miss Sheehan has joined Shelly and I in Room 7. She has created a wonderful teaching space in the old music room where small groups of children can go for learning. Other times she joins us in the classroom getting to know all the new faces.


The adventurous and interactive adaption of Aesop's beloved fable 'The Tortoise and the Hare' had children laughing and learning about diversity, kindness and how to be a real winner.
On Friday a Powhiri was held to welcome a large number of new students to our school including many students from Room 7. We also sang a butterfly song as each team shared what they had been learning as part of our inquiry topic on 'Change'.
